Since agile was introduced as a software development methodology in 2001, countless teams have used its guiding principles to tackle complicated development projects. Now, we’re seeing scrum masters, technical project managers and QA engineers apply the foundational rules of scrum, an agile process, to all kinds of technical and non-technical undertakings.
Citizen is teaming up with Women Who Code PDX to explore how agile processes—and scrum in particular—can even benefit our non-work lives. We’re hosting four dynamic women who will discuss their approaches to planning, tracking, and collaborating on everything from home improvement projects to wrangling their teenager’s chores.
Join us on February 7th from 5:45 to 8 for a rousing panel discussion with:
Jessica Siu: Scrum Master for Nike
Winnie Baker: Scrum Master for Renew Financial
Kate Gordon-Bloomfield: Technical PM for Citizen (yes, one of our very own!)
Malathi (Malu) Parthasarathy: Lead QA Engineer at Jet Reports
Moderator Shiyuan Deng, product designer for Fyre Media and design lead for Women Who Code PDX will lead a spirited discussion and a live action scrum presentation followed by Q&A.
Space is limited, so RSVP now!
